AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION

Following the lifting of the Canberra lockdown, Nancy Sever Gallery has resumed its 2021 exhibition schedule. Yes, REAL exhibitions attended by REAL people in the flesh!

On Sunday December 12 there will be an exciting opening. Prints and paintings – mostly one-offs  – from the collections of printers Basil Hall, Monique Auricchio and Jo Diggens will be exhibited for the first time together. This is an opportunity to see and purchase rare copies of beautiful works on paper by both Indigenous and non-indigenous clients of ours from the last 20 years! From early Papunya artist Paddy Carroll to the last of the great rock artists in Arnhem Land (Wamud Nadjemerrek)..to top urban artists Fiona Hall, Judy Watson and Guy Warren…this is a collectors’ dream!

Artists* also include Lena Nyadbi, Betsy Napangardi, Abie Jangala, Dorothy Napangardi, Bardayal Lofty Nadjemerrek, Lorna Fencer, Freddie Timms, Dennis Nona and Banduk Marika.

  • Apologies for the use of full names for Indigenous artists who have passed away . This is only to assist buyers in identifying the work.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
