ON DECEMBER 12 AT NANCY SEVER GALLERY IN CANBERRA, WE ARE OPENING A VERY SPECIAL EXHIBITION OF RARE PRINTS FROM THE COLLECTIONS OF BASIL HALL, MONIQUE AURICCHIO AND JOANNE DIGGENS.
All three worked as printers for indigenous artists in the Top End for many years, so as you can imagine they have acquired some wonderful examples in their private collections. Most of the editions sold out years ago so these are rare pieces indeed, but very affordable. Look out for names like Judy Watson, Lena Nyadbi, Lorna Fencer, Paddy Sims, Helicopter Joe Tjungarrayi, Freddie Timms, Dennis Nona…are you interested yet? There are over 80 beautiful works on paper and several canvases. You might even spot a Fiona Hall, a Judy Holding, Jenny Sages, Wukun Wanambi…or this beautiful Janice Murray bird.
We tried this once before in August, but were defeated by the lockdown. THIS TIME WE’RE ON! The opening day will be 10-4 on Sunday 12th December
