Will Stubbs, Annie Studd and artist Wukun Wanambi examine some of the proofs done in the Buku Print Shop last week during Basil’s visit in late April. Basil, Annie and two of her printers worked on nearly 20 separate 40 x 40 cm images, many with chîne collé and/or colour plates. The editions will be launched at the Garma Festival starting on July 31 this year and will also be seen later 2015 in Adelaide for the Print Shop’s 20th anniversary celebrations. The prints have all been painted onto aluminium plate using a thin white ground, which works well off the artists’ marwats (hair brushes), and etched in copper sulphate.
