Woodblock Workshop at Warringah, April 11/12

Kate Furness and Warringah printmaking teacher, Susan Baran check out a print as it comes off the press. In fact we only used the presses to glue chine colle sheets onto Magnani this time. The rest of the colour woodblock process is done by hand (baren) and paint brush (using powder pigment and rice paste). I have outlined the process in earlier posts, as I have now introduced this chine colle/powder pigment technique in Armidale, NSW and Derby, WA.
