Artists in residence at BHE’s 2014 Skopelos Workshop have attended part of the Skopelos Music Festival this week. While many of the performances have been seen on the paralia (waterfront), this one, by a multi-national choir (including two Australians) was held in the ancient Livadiothissa monastery , which is now privately owned. It was a beautiful scene in the old courtyard as 18 choir members delighted an audience of around 60 with Hungarian folk songs, church music and even a Greek song, with words written by one of the local sopranos.
