Artist Residencies at Milos Studios with Basil Hall

June 20, 2014 Basil Hall

Current artists in residence at BHE’s Skopelos studio this month have so far included Cat Macgregor, Kerri Weymouth and Bruce Donnelley. Kerri and Bruce are seen at left on a drawing expedition to a small church near the printmaking studio. They are both here for a fortnight and will be followed by Tim Kelly, who has been to the island twice already. Basil Hall has been in attendance and has been making an etching plate in the studio himself (in between having his honeymoon and assisting the artists).

For information on Artist Residencies at Milos Studios, email Basil on info@basilhalleditions.com.au. The season runs from May until around September, depending on Basil Hall and Steph Bolt’s movements. We prefer that at least one of us is on the island during residencies.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
