Eunice Napanagka Jack wins 2nd Prize at Fremantle Print Prize

Haasts Bluff artist, Eunice Napanangka Jack has just collaborated with me on this beautiful etching. This week it was announced as the winner of 2nd Prize at the prestigious Fremantle Print Award. It was particularly exciting for an indigenous artist to place at a major printmaking award and I was very grateful that, for once, the collaborating printer was also mentioned as having been part of the project. I was also impressed that both the organisers at Fremantle arts Centre and the judges had a clear understanding of the processes used (they took the trouble to ring up and ask) and acknowledged the artist and the technician. Thank you, Ikuntji Arts, for inviting me to work with Eunice on this one.
