Checking the Progress. Buku staff examine a proof.

Ruby Alderton, Annie Studd and Will Stubbs examine the first proof of one of the exciting new Seven Sisters etchings which are currently being made by the seven Yunupingu sisters of Yirrkala/Nhulunbuy in collaboration with Basil Hall Editions. Basil ran a workshop in Yirrkala in late October and, with the local team from the Buku Print Space, some beautiful plates are emerging. They will possibly not be exhibited until around Garma 2012 both at the Garma site in Gulkula and in Darwin at Nomad Art in Parap.
