We had a coloured background plate inked up and then gave each participants a small pre-aquatinted plate to stencil using found objects in the garden. The background plate was inked up in a variety of colours, followed by the 12 assembled small plates, inked in black and partly covered in floral items, carefully arranged by the artists. Lots of “oohs” and “aaahs” followed as the print came off the press. Copies for each participant have since been made and framed up in Darwin for presentation at their graduation.
