In 1995, I was lucky enough to be in Yirrkala as their new etching press was about to be installed in the new print space. Andrew Blake (Buku Co-ordinator) and his wife, Dianne were on hand, as were Yolngu artists Marrnyula and Rerrkirrwanga Munungurr to christen the new machine. This year, Marrnyula has celebrated that auspicious occasion by doing two new prints about the now -famous Yolngu-run Print Space. Dianne was back in the Northern Territory with Andrew earlier in the year, and they sat with Marrnyula in Darwin as she painted the colour separations. I was so pleased to be asked to edition these, given our long association, and the two prints were launched at Garma festival in August.
