Attune was the title for the Southern Highlands Printmakers’ latest exhibition; this time paired with craftspeople to produce a multi-media exhibition at Sturt’s beautiful gallery in Mittagong. Woodwork, fabric, artist’s books, sculptural pieces and of course prints were all on display; all addressing a special written poem by Keith McKenry. The show closes late January, sadly, but it has been enjoyed by numerous attendees at the Sturt Summer School and regular gallery visitors. Congratulations to the curator, Michelle Cole and gallery Director Slavica Zivkovic. Here, my brother Stephen and I are staying in front of our combined effort; mine a two piece etching entitled “Under Our Skin” and his a stunning hand-made writing desk and cabinet of curiosities. Both works address aspects of history and the way in which it is recorded and categorised.
