Some special gems for sale at Proudfoot’s Lane, Murwillumbah from Nov. 2

October 21, 2019 Basil Hall

This etching, Syaw, was made in 2008 for our Custodians folio. There are very few prints remaining from the 10 editions which made up the limited edition set, but I have one copy of this beautiful work by master weaver Regina Pilawuk Wilson included in our Basil Hall Editions exhibition, hosted by Murwillumbah’s Garden Gallery, opening on November 2 at 6 o’clock. The venue is actually in central Murwillumbah, NSW, at Proudfoot’s Lane, and it will give us a chance to show work from over 50 communities to a new clientele. The print was hand printed in Darwin, and is signed and numbered 38/45. Price: $1400.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
