Tom E Lewis adds his image to Series VII

Tom Lewis whipped up a two plate etching back in Katherine at the Djilpin Gallery, as numerous interested passers-by, locals, artists, art co-ordinators, coffee machine repairmen and gallery and cafe customers looked on. An Estonian cabinet maker, visiting Australia, played the guitar as Tommy delighted everyone with yarns about his world travels (as he painted). It was quite a scene and a great way to finish up a fantastic workshop week in Beswick. Watch out for this colourful and vibrant series of 20 etchings at the Walking with Spirits Festival in July and Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair in August!
