The latest workshop at Basil Hall Editions

March 12, 2016 Basil Hall

Our studio has been a-buzz with activity this year, hosting four workshops already in Braidwood. We should also be commencing workshops in the silkscreen studio in Canberra soon, as we are equipped for silkscreen and relief printing in town and the location suits some Canberra residents. A visit to the beautiful town of Braidwood, only an hour away, is still popular with many though, and an increasing number of locals have accessed the big press and Basil’s assistance. This week we ran another etching workshop and local artist Lai Morris is seen at left working on an etching plate. Jane Moore’s Kakadu escarpment is hanging on the wall behind Lai.IMG_5304

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
