Monica brought a number of grainy found timbers to ink up and her prints comprised a number of layers plus the hand-applied colour – all in two brief days! Here the pre-glued chine colle sheet is adhered to the backing sheet, in this case a piece of 350gsm Magnani. The still-tacky ink on the front is offsetting slightly onto the press bed. That is, it did until Kate Furness suggested we use tissue paper under each print to catch the offsetting. Thanks Kate! I always learn something new at each of my workshops.
