King Island artist Dianne Blake (formerly of Yirrkala in the Northern Territory) has brought an etching press to her new home and started running workshops there. This week, Basil Hall will visit to conduct another etching workshop on the island, using Dianne’s press. Ten artists from King Island, Tasmania and the mainland will converge on the local art centre in Currie for two days of platemaking and colour printing with Basil and Dianne! She is pictured here in her new studio in the house she and her partner Andrew designed and built on the west coast.
And on to King Island!
