Skopelos Printmaking clean up gang

July 10, 2014 Basil Hall

Helen Mueller, Basil Hall and Steph Bolt preparing the Milos Studio on Skopelos for Rosie Weiss’s workshop there in July. Each year the workshop needs a bit of maintenance after the island winter, and groups and resident artists this year have once again found the space wonderful to work in. Everything is now cleaned and painted for another workshop so we hope Rosie’s group has fun. Bookings and enquiries about residencies in our studio on Skopelos, Greece may be made at any time by contacting any of us. Basil’s details are on this site. Residencies are normally between May and September, dependent on when we are in attendance on the island. Some materials are included as part of studio hire and advice is available on how to equip yourself for your residency, accommodation and travel. Over 80 people have now attended workshops or done residencies with us since 2010, and many have returned to this remarkable island paradise.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
