As often happens when driving on the remote dirt roads in the north of South Australia, an exposed rocky outcrop speared through our rear tyre on the way to a recent workshop in Kalka. We spent twenty minutes changing it over and admiring the stunning colours of the desert. The drive from Uluru, where we were collected from the airport by Art Centre co-ordinator Matt Goff and his wife Cheera, to Pipalyatjara took over four hours. The scenery was stunning, so for the passengers it was an amazing experience. A long drive for Matt, who had already driven across from Alice Springs (400kms to Uluru) that same day.
