Last weekend, Basil ran a multi plate colour etching workshop for 8 participants at Melbourne’s Firestation Print Studio. Two days was a bit tight for etching 24 copper plates and getting them to talk nicely to each other, but a combination of patience (on the part of the artists) and a nice warm second day saw the ferric start to speed up and some colour magic begin to happen. Many thanks to all the artists, some of whom had come from various corners of Victoria, and to Edith and Margaret (staff at Firestation) for ensuring it all ran smoothly.
