Judy Watson Virginia Project continues in Brisbane

November 3, 2011 Basil Hall

Judy keeps tabs on Basil at Queensland College of the Arts, October 2011. QCA kindly allowed us to work together there this week to resolve the plates and make new ones to add to those Judy has just had in the USA during her residency at University of West Virginia. Although it was assessment week at QCA, we kept to one corner of the busy studio and made 5 beautiful new images. We were visited by print publisher Noreen Grahame and many staff and students looked in. As always, studio technician extraordinaire, Jonathan Tse, was most attentive and made us feel at home.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
