As previously noted, I managed a workshop on Bathurst Island earlier in the year with the Ngaruwannajiri artists. In five days we made around 20 editions, about half of which have so far been editioned back in my studio in Canberra. The artists worked primarily on Tru Grain, a highly sensitive drafting film, for their key plates, with the colour overlays being painted on acetate. The first 10 editions have been signed and will be launched in the future (when people are allowed to go to galleries again!) I am now working on the second batch of images by Lorna Kantilla (seen here – etching on 3 plates with a silkscreened white), Alfonso Pauatjimi, Jane Tipuamantumirri, Alexandrina Kantilla, Ken Wayne Kantilla and Lillian Kerinaua.
