Basil has just returned from a fun week teaching at Mittagong at the annual Sturt Summer School. Around 270 students and 26 tutors attended this year so the organisers were stretched, but managed it all fabulously. 10 eager woodcutters worked with Basil for the week, and a variety of techniques were used; mostly water-based and many not requiring an etching press to print.at left, Barbara proudly shows off one of her beautiful prints, coloured on the reverse of the Japanese Iwaki paper with powder pigment.
