Attune: an upcoming exhibition at Sturt Galleries in Mittagong

November 13, 2022 Basil Hall

On December 9, an exciting exhibition opens at Sturt Galleries in Mittagong, NSW. Over 20 artist/printmakers have each selected a craftsperson with whom to collaborate on a work. The overarching theme of the show is drawn from images conjured up in a specially commissioned poem entitled “The River Snowman” by Keith McKenry. I am exhibiting my biggest collagraph to date; in fact a pair of works, which will be exhibited alongside a beautifully crafted colonial era portable writing desk made by my brother Stephen Hall. We are expecting the show to include fabric, wood, ceramics, photographs and much more, in addition to the prints made by the Southern Highland Printmakers. The exhibition will run until February 2023.
