Regina Wilson etching

June 15, 2020 Basil Hall

This beautiful new etching by Regina Wilson from Peppimenarti was made late last year when Regina was in Canberra for an exhibition opening (remember them?) The prints are bleed printed on one sheet of 350gsm Hahnemuhle (88 x 86.5cms) and were editioned using two zinc plates and one aluminium plate, followed by a silkscreened set of lines over the top. Rikki at Durrmu Arts (info@durrmuarts.com.au) is the person to call if you want to nab a copy. It will be a small edition of 20. The print (“Sun Mat”) has made the finals of both the 2020 Swan Hill and the Mornington Works on Paper Awards!

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
