New editions for Kerri Weymouth

March 31, 2020 Basil Hall

Social distancing whilst examining the ten new editions we have just finished with Coleambally artist, Kerri Weymouth. Kerri has been working on a series of posters, using a grant from the Alopecia Foundation, and they are now ready to be signed and packed up. They are all silkscreen prints on Magnani 300gsm white paper, incorporating drawn, photographic and computer-generated elements. Kerri has been staying at my Braidwood house while I have been printing in the Canberra studio and discussing jpegs over email. We finally got together just before the latest announcement limiting public gatherings to 2 (although she feels like family after so many visits!)

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
