Wood engraving workshop to happen again in 2018!

October 8, 2017 Basil Hall

Following the success of David Frazer’s introduction of wood engraving to our course programme on Skopelos this year, we have twisted his arm into coming again in 2018. He and I are planning another exciting two week workshop for September 3-14, and I will take enquiries and deposits from anyone interested in our Early Bird price of $2950. This is the same price as we offered in 2016 and 2017, so it’s great value! Two tutors, 10 days of printmaking fun, a day’s sailing, all your art materials, breakfasts every day, two great dinners and lots more! Here is a picture of Margot working on her wood engravings in our second (upstairs) studio during this year’s workshop, just completed. Contact me by email if you are keen to come . The Early Bird price applies until December 31. We just need a $500 (fully refundable) deposit before that date to secure your place.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
