Copper plates fly at Creators Artspace in Albury

Creators Artspace, a gallery and access printmaking space in Albury-Wodonga, has just had Basil down for a four day workshop. Artspace is setting up its etching area for copper plate and Edinburgh Etch, so the 13 participants had fun doing hard ground, soft ground, sugar lift, mono print (colour plates) and aquatints (not necessarily all on the same plate). The space has a high ceiling and is light and airy, with plenty of space in the two rooms. At the conclusion of the workshop, a huge table of coloured etchings and mono prints was set out so an impromptu exhibition could be held to show the funding body what had been achieved.
