Here is the happy gang at the end of another successful Sturt Workshop, held in the Southern Highlands town of Mittagong each year. This year, Basil ran a woodblock course, during which participants were able to cut a number of blocks. We used Shina ply, kauri pine ply and cheap Bunnings ply (for grainy backgrounds) and during the five days we managed a reduction print, quite a number of multi-block colour prints and numerous chine colle prints, hand coloured from behind in the technique Basil has been promoting at a number of workshops now. The group also collaborated on a 3.3 metre long concertina book (seen in the picture). They each took one home with their own personal covers.
