BHE’s new screen printing studio in the Canberra suburb of Ainslie has had quite a workout lately. Printers, Clinton Barker and Basil, have been working on 8 editions of prints for Derby artist, Edna Dale. The editioning has enabled us to test the new facility and arrange the equipment to best advantage to catch the great light along the north side (seen here, behind Basil). Although we don’t envisage running classes here (Megalo in Canberra does a great job of this already), Basil is happy to work one-on-one with artists to produce editions of silkscreen prints in the new studio. There is also a hydraulic relief press, which would suit lino and woodcuts up to 50 x 50cms. The studio is not an open access studio so artists would have to arrange to work with Basil if they wish to access to gear.
Fancy doing a screen print & having it printed for you?
