In the land of the Wandjina

Mowanjum Artists is a stunning Art Centre on the Gibb River Rd, just before Derby, and is visited by numerous tourists and art lovers who venture to this rugged and picturesque part of the country. During Basil’s workshop last week, Mowanjum staff had built us two printing tables and set up their new press in a corner of the huge gallery space. It was pretty inspiring running off editions on the press and hand-printed others, as Leah is doing in this shot.
