An early shot of the scene this week as 16 printmakers work with Basil in the National Art School’s well-equipped print department. The workshop is part of the NAS Summer School program running in January every year and is one of many disciplines being offered. It’s Day 4 today and a huge output has already been achieved on the two etching presses. Tomorrow afternoon there is an informal showing of the work at 3.30pm so participants in the School can visit each other’s areas and see what they have been doing. Here some of the group work on the large table, while others attend to blocking out their plates and printing in the distance.
