Two and a half days into Basil’s colour etching workshop at Sturt, Rosie Stevenson produced this beautiful colour work. The key plate is a hard ground line etching with sprayed aquatint, while the colour plate was also made with sprayed aquatint and burnishing. Most of the students have so far produced line etchings in hard and soft ground and have used deep bite, aquatint and/or sugar lift over the first few days of the course.
