Greek Residencies & Print Workshops

September 27, 2014 Basil Hall

If you are into Art & Adventure, you might consider a residency in our Milos Studio on Skopelos Island in 2015.

The studio has two etching presses, a drying rack and facilities for the making of linocuts and woodcuts, collagraphs and etchings. The well-lit space overlooking the Aegean is also suitable for visual artists in general to work, and is available for rent from May to around September each year. Accommodation is available in the Milos Apartments above the studio at around $AUD50 a night. Email or call Basil Hall to discuss.

Our artists have gone out each year to neighbouring Alonnyssos Island with Vasilis (his boat is pictured here). The island also boasts wonderful walking, ancient ruins, monasteries and ongoing traditional life.

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
