Another Workshop in Braidwood

February 23, 2014 Basil Hall

Sue, Fi, Renald, Gill and Lisa hard at it in our Braidwood studio at a recent workshop. The new studio is proving to be ideal for small workshops for around 4-5 people, and Basil is happy to do them, by arrangement, for any such groups who contact BHE. During the February workshop, pictured here, participants were able to try soft ground, hard ground, aquatint, chine colle, drypoint and mono prints – all in two days! Two of our number prepared the evening meal and Basil’s partner, Pam, kept up the tea, coffee and cake supply. Sue is seen in the foreground pre-gluing coloured Japanese papers for chine colle. Contact Basil by email if you are interested in rounding up a group to attend a workshop!

ABOUT BHE

For the last nineteen years Basil has run Basil Hall Editions, first from a purpose-built studio in Darwin, then from two studios: one in Braidwood, NSW and one in Canberra. In 2020 Basil moved all the equipment to Canberra. He and his team host visiting artists or travel to remote Aboriginal  communities, collaborating with over 100 artists a year, or other regional locations, offering workshops.
