New edition for Nongirrnga Marawili at Basil Hall Editions

At last, number 50 of 50 rolls off the press in Braidwood. I worked with the Buku Larnggay printers in Yirrkala last year for two weeks and a number of artists came in and produced new work. Nongirrnga Marawili, one of the senior painters and printmakers there, made this beautiful new etching, which will be finished off with a series of screen printed pale vertical lines of diamonds back in our Canberra studio in a week. Visiting printer, Jonathan Larsen and I have had a big week producing prints needed up north for the Garma Festival and the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair in August for a number of art centres.
