A visit to Nomad’s studio in Avenel to work with Angus Cameron & Gus Leunig

July 5, 2024 Basil Hall

It’s pretty nice to get away from your own space every now and then and visit another artist’s studio. Victorian printmaker, Angus Cameron, and painter, Gus Leunig, were both working there too, and we all spent four days doing totally different things in totally different ways. No distractions (except fine food and lots of art to look at in the Nomad gallery) and a productive time for all of us. We are hoping that Gus will send us his first silkscreen to edition as a result of this time together. Angus made numerous stencil prints using his library of collagraph textures and I commenced a large collagraph too.
