Well, it’s been a strange year for BHE. All our art centre friends closed up shop with Covid, so we were suddenly without workshops and most of our potential editioning for the year. Luckily our socialist government provided Jobkeeper for small businesses and we made contact with many of our artists. We have worked by correspondence to distribute materials and kick off a few projects with remote communities and some of our individual artists and they will slowly come to fruition in 2021. We’ve also been printing up the remainder of old editions and we’ve been moving the studio from Braidwood to Canberra. At this time last year, believe it or not, we were more concerned with the severe bushfires in our part of the world. Scenes like this one (Basil Hall, Aftermath, etching 2020) of birds, burnt and washed up on the south coast beaches flooded our TV screens. Covid was yet to arrive…
Happy Christmas loyal readers and artists, and thank you for continuing to be interested in what we do.
