Sarrita and Tarisse King making prints at Basil Hall Editions

Tarisse King (pictured with manager Keith Murphy) and her younger sister Sarrita have been brought to Canberra to check out the creative possibilities of screen printing at our studio. Co-inciding with an exhibition of their extraordinary paintings at East Hotel in Kingston, this week’s residency has given the women a chance to paint numerous new and old designs onto acetate. These paintings will become the stencils for multi-coloured screen prints to be hand-made at BHE over the coming months. Their work is in such demand that limited edition print runs will help the artists to meet demand and enable them to try out some new techniques and combinations.
