Speaking of our annual workshops on the Greek island of Skopelos, Basil used a project Steph Bolt and he have often done with their groups there as a focus in Armidale recently too. The humble concertina book, containing examples of etchings by each of the participants, was a handsome production. Not only did everyone get a set of 12 prints to take home, but the group went through the exercise of tearing or cutting up an image. The small fragments are often more exciting than the larger print as a whole, and important compositional lessons can be learned here. Thank you to Susie for modelling once more, and to Jonathon Larsen once again for the photos of the Armidale workshop.
