Successful Mount Borradaile Workshop over for another year

June 13, 2011 Basil Hall

Our party of 17, including facilitators Mandy Martin and Basil Hall, returned safely to Darwin after a highly successful four day painting and woodblock workshop/trip to Mount Borradaile. Although we couldn’t drive our printing equipment in this year, we were certainly able to get to most of the rock art, swimming and painting sites. To make up for the “low-tech” printmaking facilities on site this year, Basil spent several days with (and, later, without) the artists back in Darwin to resolve and print each person’s woodblock print.

Once again, we were treated to perfect weather, stunning scenery, expert guidance through the rock art and walking trails and the best service I have experienced in the Territory. Many thanks to Max, Ray and all the wonderful staff for an excellent adventure!
